The Bus Shelter Nativity

Community spirit in mid-Devon

All of my work is about capturing and championing the projects or people that bring kindness, curiosity or creativity into the world. They are projects that bring people together, run by brilliant humans who have the courage to step out into the world and create something. One of those people is my mum, and in 2025 I made a film about the Bus Shelter Nativity she set up in her village, a joyous annual event that brings her community together.

I filmed this in December 2024 during Storm Darragh, where the village completely lost power for 18 hours after 70-80mph winds battered Devon. Still, the community pulled together and got the nativity set up once the winds had died down a little.
